Frequently asked questions

What is your background?

I have been working as photographer, creative director and producer for over a decade. During this time I have been based in Milan, Barcelona, Lisbon and Berlin, and worked with clients such as Vogue Italy, ELLE, Marie Claire, Conde Nast Traveller, Nasty, Diesel, Guess, Zara Kids, La Redoute, Maisonette and others.

My background is in business strategy, consulting and brand management, with a focus on sustainability, luxury and travel.

I hold a CEMS Master’s in International Management by ESADE Barcelona and NOVA SBE Lisbon, and a Bachelor’s in International Economics, Finance, and Management from Bocconi University Milan. Most recently, I completed a Sustainable Business Strategy Executive Course at Harvard University.

Thanks to my robust background and diverse set of professional skills I am able to easily understand the client's strategic objectives and visual needs, and create compelling visual stories that are aligned with their goals and target audience.

What kind of photography do you specialise in?

I specialise in fashion, advertising, editorial and travel photography. The core of my work includes shooting advertising and fashion campaigns for brands; editorial stories for a variety of publications; celebrity and artists headshots; product stills; lifestyle imagery and brand content.

Where are you based?

For the past few years I’ve been living in sunny Lisbon, Portugal and I travel frequently for work and photography assignments.

Do you shoot in studio or outdoors?

Both. I love shooting on location as I feel it provides more context to the story and helps add another layer of depth to the imagery. At the same time I’m very fond of studio work as it allows for creative lighting set-ups and a controlled environment to shoot.

What are your rates?

My rates are individually tailored for each project, depending on the client and scope of the work, photography usage rights and duration of use of the imagery and so forth.

To get a quote, please get in touch with me via the Contact form. It would be great if you could kindly e-mail me all the details of the shoot, including information such as:

- Client info

- Scope of the project (editorial, campaign, look book,e-commerce, etc.)

- How will the images be used? In print, online, or both? Are they used for advertising purposes, on the website, on social media, etc.?

- For how long are the images going to be used?

- Number of days we need to shoot?

- How many retouched images do you expect?

- Project timeline?

What equipment do you use?

I have been shooting with Canon equipment for years now, but Nikon has been my go-to in the early days. I have plenty of cameras and lenses, both analogue and digital. If you have any particular requirements, please feel free to inquire.

Do you do video as well?

Yes, I both shoot and direct. However, for a full-fledged video production taking place at the same time as the photo shoot, I recommend bringing on board a dedicated video team. If you need any video content created, please let me know and I’d be happy to discuss it further.

What kind of clients do you shoot for?

I shoot mostly for brands and magazines – indie, mainstream, emerging, established and everything in between. Producers, creative directors, agencies, marketing managers or brand owners book me! The most important aspect for me is working alongside passionate, like-minded professionals. On some shoots we have a team of 50 people on set, while on other occasions it’s just the model, the make-up artist and me. I love what I do and I’m always thrilled to get involved with interesting projects; please don't hesitate to reach out!

Do you have a team you work with?

I have a great team I usually work with and we are all available for international bookings.

I also have an excellent network of professionals I’ve worked with previously all across Europe: producers, art directors, hair stylists, make-up artists, stylists, set designers, location scouts and more. If we’re shooting some place new, I’m fully comfortable casting or scouting for talent to work with, coordinating with agencies, location scouting and so forth. I’m confident that we can round up a fantastic team, no matter what or where.

If you would like to join my team or connect for potential future assignments, please drop me an e-mail

Are you available for international photo assignments?

Absolutely, that’s one of my favourite things about being a photographer – it allows me to discover incredible destinations. I’ve been shooting all over the world, from Costa Rica, to the Canary Islands, Morocco, Jordan, Laos and Indonesia.

I also speak six languages, which often comes in handy when we manage international photo productions.

Do you offer remote photo shoots for clients?

Yes! I do offer remote shoots and I’ve worked with clients from all over Europe, USA, Canada, Singapore, Australia and beyond.

In a nutshell: the client hires me (and my team) to photograph for them at a different location than the one where they are. We run the photography, art direction and production, while the client provides remote input to ensure a successful shoot.

Do you offer bundle photo shoot options?

Yes, it is possible to organise a photo shoot for more brands at once.

Usually, this package is sought after by conscious brands looking to partner up with others providing complementary products (ex: a jewellery, a womenswear and a shoe brand team up for a bundle photo shoot).

This type of photo session provides various strategic and financial benefits to each of the brands involved, such as smart budget management and booking higher end models, easy styling, partnering with other brands for cross promotion and so on.

If you’re interested to learn more, or if you already have a few brands you’d like us to work with, please drop me an e-mail.

What is required to officially book you?

A 30%-50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the photo shoot dates in my calendar.

What format do you shoot?

I shoot both on film and digitally in RAW format to ensure the highest quality of output possible.

Do you provide clients with all the files from the shoot?

No, like most other professional photographers I do not provide all the files from a shoot. We often shoot thousands of images in a day to get a few excellent shots. Together with the client we agree upon the number of images to be delivered for selection, as well as for retouching, prior to the booking.

Can you provide us with the RAW photo files?

I do not provide clients with RAW files. Thank you for your understanding.

How many images do you retouch?

It depends on the scope of the project, the use of the images, the number of items or looks we shoot and so forth. This is agreed with the client prior to the booking.

After the delivery of the images, in case a client wishes to purchase additional images, it is possible to do so at a fixed rate per image.

How long does it take you to edit the photos?

Depending on how busy my agenda is at the time of the shoot, as well as the timeline of the client, we agree together on the most convenient turnaround time. I’m usually quick to do the pre-selection and the retouching, granted that the images do not require extensive beauty corrections or very specialised colour treatments.

In case of an urgent deadline, there’s always the option to bring on board a retouching studio, for instance.

Please kindly let me know at the beginning of the collaboration if you have urgent deadlines that we need to meet.

How do I choose the photos you edit, and how will I receive my pictures?

Firstly, I will share with you a pre-selection of images through a link sent to the e-mail address you provide me with. You will then be able to access an online gallery where you can view the images; here you select your favourites for retouching.

After I receive your selection, I proceed with the photo editing.

As soon as I finish retouching the images, I will send you a low-resolution proof that the work has been completed.

At this stage, you are required to proceed with the final payment. Once I have the payment confirmation, I will send you the high quality retouched files via WeTransfer.

What if I lose my images?

There is a €100 replacement charge for additional downloads after the images have been archived. I strongly recommend that you make at least one copy of the download when you receive it.

If we cancel the photo shoot, will we receive our retainer fee back?

Unfortunately, no. The booking deposit fees are used to reserve your date. Once I’ve reserved your date in my calendar, I do not accept new clients for your date.

If we change our photo shoot to a different date, will we be able to use our retainer fee towards a future date?

This is discussed on a case-by-case basis, considering the reason for rescheduling and my availability for the new dates. In the case in which my rates change from your original date to your new date, kindly note that the new rates will apply.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please send me an e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you!
